WHATS MY BRAND STORY?

Growing up as the only child in my household, I was a very shy timid person. I never liked speaking in front of groups of people because I was always concerned about what others would say or think about me. It was so bad that I developed social anxiety. 

​

 I was teased in school and told I  talk "too proper” for my skin color. I never understood what skin color had anything to do with the way a person speaks or why speaking articulately  was a bad thing. I did whatever I could to avoid speaking in class. It was so bad that I almost failed seventh grade because I stopped doing my homework and avoided participation in the classroom. Years later, I had to present a speech for a college speech class in order to graduate. I was a nervous wreck. My palms were sweaty and my heart was racing. I ran out of the class room to hide in the bathroom. 

I felt like I was going to faint when it was my turn to speak. I was so worried about what my classmates would think about me. I was thinking, " How can I get out of this?"

If I wanted to graduate, I had no other choice but to face it. My teacher told me something that day that I now tell my clients, she said "Thomas, never allow someone else’s opinion limit you, not even your own negative beliefs."

I took her words to heart and I faced my fear. My desire to win against my fear had become stronger than my fear itself. You can't control what people think but you can control how you perceive yourself. I felt anxiety but I realized it was normal and manageable over time. After the speech I was given constructive feedback which helped me become aware of the skills I didn’t believe I had at the time.

Little did I know, this experience would change my life forever. I was able to push past my fear to  uncover a true gift and passion with public speaking and coaching. I started following speakers like Tony Robins, Les Brown, and Eric Thomas. I saw what they were doing and how they have impacted so many lives. I wanted to be an influential speaker as them. I saw a life changing transformation in my self-confidence, and enjoy helping  my clients transform their lives.

Never allow your negative beliefs stand in between you and your potential.

My desire to help others who struggle with public speaking became an obsession.  

Today I am known as a confidence coach who helps others own their authentic self-expression when  speaking in front of an audience.

Dream2Inspire LLC was established to inspire others to pursue their full potential and teach you how to have fun with public speaking so you can build your speaking confidence and develop your communication skills to make an impact.

I believe when you effectively communicate and share your life experiences through stories, you can positively transform not only your professional and personal life, but the lives of millions around the world.​

   My company offers trainings, classes, and coaching has helped others improve their presentation skills, stage presence, speechwriting, storytelling, public speaking confidence, and delivery style.

I am a published author of the books titled, "The Dreamer's Journey" and "The Dreamer's Journey Workbook",
